SAVANT SYNDROME




What is Savant Syndrome?
Savant syndrome is a condition in which a person who demonstrates the capacity or ability incredibly deep and far beyond the ordinary. People who suffer savant syndrome may have neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorder, or brain injury. Among the most dramatic examples of savant syndrome occurs in individuals who scored very low on IQ tests, while demonstrating exceptional ability or excellence in specific areas, such as rapid calculation, art, memory, or the ability of music. Although called a syndrome, it is not recognized as a mental disorder or mental disorders as part of the medical manual.

Characteristic
There are no widely accepted cognitive theory explains the combination of scholars' talents and deficits.
